As a child I always enjoyed the art of hundreds of comic books. I began to draw my own and learn perspective
and elements of the human form. I was encouraged as a teenager to paint and my parents bought me the paints to create
comic book style murals in my upstairs bedroom. In art school @ UNCW I met my wonderful wife Laurel (AKA the Muddy Muse) as well as some amazingly talented other individuals. We all developed
our styles and talents together learning new mediums and sharing a passion for the arts The name "Art Wasteland" was
conceptualized and developed as I moved in 1999 to a trailer on the edge of a landfill. We would take walks around the area
and make found object sculptures and recycled masterpieces. We continue to strive to use as many recycle resources in our
art today as the environment is of an upmost concern. Through the years I have continued to develop artwasteland.com as a
means to showcase my art and music as well as that of my wife Laurel and many of my friends. With the addition of
daughters Cammy and Karma .We strive to promote all that is creative through other sites such as
